Blood Price

When vampires from space come to earth looking to cure themselves, the only place they can find the right DNA is the Amish community of Quail Creek, Kansas.

Can Haddie save herself, or will she become the next victim?

Haddie Miller’s life in the quiet Amish community of Quail Creek turns upside down when she and her sister, Hannah, are abducted by mysterious beings from another world. Trapped aboard a spaceship, Haddie finds herself in a labyrinth of cold metal corridors, sinister experiments, and terrifying creatures with a thirst for human blood.

Amid the chaos, Haddie encounters Teloh, an enigmatic alien who seems to be both captor and protector. As Haddie uncovers the aliens’ desperate quest to save their dying race, she realizes that her own heart is at stake. She wants to escape, but as secrets unravel and alliances shift, Haddie discovers that love may be the key to their survival.

Will Haddie be able to save her sister and herself, or will they become the next victims in a deadly game of life and death?

Charity Vale / A.C. Williams

Amy C. Williams (also known as A.C. Williams or Charity Vale) is a coffee-drinking, sushi-eating, story-telling nerd who loves cats, country living, and all things Japanese. Award-winning author of more than 20 books, she writes novels, short stories, devotionals, and Christian non-fiction. When she isn’t drafting in the wee morning hours, she’s working as a Fiction Instructor and Editor for the Author Conservatory, an online college alternative for young writers.

A single, 40-something who has fully embraced “auntie life,” Amy lives with her dad and their majestic house panther Zippy on a small funny farm in rural Kansas where every day provides something ridiculous to laugh about. She collects silly mugs and stickers, has a potential addiction to pretty journals and fountain pens, and frequently rearranges a TBR list taller than her house.

Whether you want a true tale about her death-defying antics in the Guatemalan jungle or a wild adventure about samurai superheroes or heist-pulling space grannies, she’s got a story you’re bound to love.

Excerpt

Working at an Amish bulk food store wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, even for Amish people.
The five-pound bag of powdered sugar belched a cloud of dust as Haddie set it on the shelf, painting the front of her burgundy dress white. She brushed the spray of sugar off her bodice and scowled as it smeared.
          Wonderful.
She glanced at the shelf and then the floor to ensure sugar hadn’t spilled anywhere else other than on her. Fortunately, her dress seemed to be the only casualty.
With a sigh, she pulled the bag of sugar off the shelf and carried it back to the stockroom. It coughed plumes of white dust with every step.
She bumped the stockroom door with her back to open it and spun to face the large aluminum table at the center of the room.
Caleb’s head popped up over the edge of the table, his blond cowlicks sticking in every direction. “That goes on the shelves out front, Haddie. Why are you bringing it back here?”
“The bag has a hole.” Haddie set the bag on the table. As if to underscore the point, another puff of white dust shot into the air and snowed down on the tabletop.
“Didn’t you check it before you loaded it?” Caleb rolled his eyes.

FAQ

How long will it take to get my book if I order direct from your store?

This is a great question, and I don’t have a one-size-fits-all answer. There are only two people running my store (me and my dad!), so as soon as we get an order, we process it as quickly as we can. Then we mail it as quickly as we can. So, it could be anywhere from two weeks when we are slow to seven weeks when we are nuts. But if you ever have questions, please email us!

Why aren't your books on Kindle Unlimited?

I would love to have my books available on Kindle Unlimited. Maybe I will one day, but as of right now, Amazon is really not very friendly to indie authors. We get paid less than a penny for multiple pages read. It just isn’t a good business model right now for me to have my books in KU. I hope that will be different one day! Be sure that you are signed up for my newsletter so you don’t miss any announcements about that.

What is your return/refund policy?

All sales are final, at this point. But if you are unhappy with something you purchased from my store, please contact me to explain the situation, and I will do my best to make it right.
