stories of brokenness mended with hope

Meet Amy

Author A.C. Williams (you can call her Amy) is a coffee-drinking, sushi-eating, story-telling nerd who loves cats, country living, and all things Japanese. She’d rather be barefoot, and if she isn’t, her socks won’t match. With fifteen published books in both fiction and non-fiction, she is a Realm Award winner and a Selah Award finalist, as well as the 2022 Arise Daily Writer of the Year. She's also a popular monthly contributor to two blogs ranked in Writer’s Digest’s Top 101 sites for authors.

What Is Kintsugi?

Kintsugi is a Japanese pottery repair technique where gold lacquer is used to mend the pieces of broken ceramics. With kintsugi, something that was broken becomes whole again--but not just whole, more valuable than it was before it was broken. It's a beautiful form of artwork, but it can also represent beautiful stories. All stories begin with some kind of brokenness, but stories don't have to stay broken. And once they aren't broken anymore, they are worth more than they were before they were broken.
