Sam Logan and the Sword of the Sun | New Character Art

Congratulations! You have reached the end of Sam Logan and the Sword of the Sun! Thank you so much for your patronage. I hope you enjoyed reading this story as much as I loved writing it.

To celebrate, I wanted to share some new character art I received from my extraordinary illustrator, Kristen Hildebrand:

Aren’t they GORGEOUS?? Kristen really outdid herself this time. Those of you I’ve seen in person had already seen the Hinode artwork, but I wanted you guys to see Sam in plain clothes too.

So now what?

There are still PLENTY of chapters to read, so if you’re game, we’re going to dive into the other series that is happening concurrently as the Reishosan series, The Legend of the Lightkeepers. I had started writing Meg’s book, if you remember, and it just wasn’t coming together the way I wanted. That problem has been sorted out now, but I’m still working on the manuscript as a whole.

So … if you guys don’t mind, we’re going to jump ahead a little bit. Although, technically, it’s jumping BEHIND. The next book I’m going to be featuring here a chapter at a time is Jenny Mitchell and the Mountain of Fire.

Basically, Barb Taylor and Jenny Mitchell get kidnapped by Centaurs and have to escape from a flaming volcano of death while Meg and the others try to rescue them. There also may be a very grumpy, very dangerous, very yellow samurai cameo in this book … just saying….

So, starting NEXT WEEK, you can look for hysterical weekly entries into this wild, crazy adventure in the Andarian dimension. And, just for you, I may send you a peek at some character art that I’m having done specifically for this book!

Thank you all so very much!!!

YYYYAAAAAYYYY! This is all so exciting! Sam is adorable! (Don’t tell him I said that) The Hinode sticker I got at Realm Makers makes me smile every time I see it on my laptop—with room for the whole gang, just in case😂 But Sam in his sweater and archeology nerdness is also super endearing! I’m so stoked for this next adventure, too!

Does anyone know when this book will be released in print? I don’t have patreon and I am super excited to read this book! I’m dying from anticipation!

Hello! Thank you so much for your comment. I apologize for the wait on this book. So much has happened in life since I first started talking about it. I had hoped I would get to it this year (2025), but personal and professional struggles have not allowed me the bandwidth to work on it. I need to do a blog post about this probably. The draft is written, but it needs a lot of work before I can release it as a novel. So in the mean time, I am actually going to be releasing five to six short novels that follow the Reishosan origin stories. I will have more information about it soon, so if you aren’t on my email list, that’s probably going to be the place where I share details. Again, thank you for your comment and your patience. I hate that this book isn’t available (Sam is my favorite character), but I also don’t want to release the story when it’s not ready.
