My Adventures

acwilliams.author

I write books (Superheroes, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Action-Comedy-Romance, Devotional), love ramen, and laugh a lot. Wanna be friends?

I got to explore the park in downtown Greenville, I got to explore the park in downtown Greenville, South Carolina last week. What an astonishingly beautiful place! I snapped this image of one of the paths, and I thought of Psalm 16:11.

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

I'm so thankful that God has shown me the paths of life. He always goes before me, and He establishes my steps before I take them. So He knows what I need before I need it.

The way isn't easy, but it is good. And doing life with Him is joyful.

How is one way God directed your paths this week?
O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you can O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked. Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for you hate all who do evil. You will destroy those who tell lies. The Lord detests murderers and deceivers. Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe. (Psalm 5:4-7)

I don’t usually post the Psalms that talk about stuff like this, but in my daily reading, this passage stood out to me—but maybe not for the reason you think. Sure, it’s encouraging to know that a day is coming when everyone who lies and deceives others will be brought to account. It’s good to know that those who hate others and only care about themselves will see the error of their ways. It will be good to see the proud rejected. But that’s not what made me stop. I stopped on the word because.

Because of God’s unfailing love, I can be in relationship with Him. Why does that matter? Well, I was the proud. I was the hateful. I was the liar and deceiver and the wicked. I was … until Him. When Jesus saved me, He made it possible for me to enter God’s house, not because I deserved it but because He declared me righteous.

This morning, I’m just so thankful for all that God is doing in my heart and in my life. He renews me every day and gives me the strength to keep moving forward. I want to make sure I give credit where credit is due. I wouldn’t have made it through this challenging year without Him.

Thank God for His unfailing love that keeps me standing, that fills me with joy even when life is hard, that reminds me His way is always better. What has God done for you this week that you’d like to give Him credit for?

NAMELESS: The Destiny Trilogy Part One | Morningstar Book 1 (rated PG-16)

A girl with no memories. A man with too many. And an assassin who starts a war to find them.

On the seedy backwater moon where a NUSovian ship dropped Xander off to scratch a living among the mines and brothels, true friends are a luxury she can’t afford. What kind of person doesn’t know her own name? Waiting tables and fending off amorous drunks barely earns Xander enough to survive, let alone escape to the civilized colony of NUSaxony to find a neurotherapist who can help her regain her lost memories.

But help often comes from unexpected places.

An ex-assassin on the run from his own past, Kale and a team of bounty hunters as eclectic and derelict as their ship saves Xander from a syndicate operative who started a space colony war to find her. They race against time, seeking the spaceship that holds the key to Xander’s memories before the syndicate catches up with them.

As the net closes in, Xander faces a choice.

Is finding herself worth the price her friends will pay? Or does true friendship mean sacrificing Xander’s memories—walking away from everyone she loves—to keep them safe?

After all, some things are more important than a name.

I haven't posted in a while. Life has been a chall I haven't posted in a while. Life has been a challenge in recent months. So much more challenging than I ever thought life could be. Don't get me wrong, I expected difficulties and hard choices and painful partings. I guess I just never anticipated how grief lingers, how deeply loss can cut.

I honestly don't even know how or where to start processing it all. I'm hopeful I can share more about the journey the Lord has had me on these last two years or so. But until I have the words for it all, here's a pretty picture. I snapped this photo on Galveston Island during my disastrous "vacation" in January (more stories lol).

I love sunrises. They are always new and different, the start of something we've never seen before, a day that hasn't existed yet, opportunities we haven't experienced and blessings we've yet to uncover. Sunrises mean hope because yesterday is done. What was has gone; what's coming is new. And even though new steps can be scary and uncertain and you don't know what you'll find, the potential for what could be is worth the risk of moving forward.

So look up. The sun is rising. Something new is waiting on the other side of what you know. And, weary soul, it is good.

But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Have you ever wanted to know the future? Well, you Have you ever wanted to know the future? Well, you can. How is it possible? Well, there’s this book, you see, and it was written by the One who created time itself. So time is irrelevant to Him. He is above time, beyond time, so He has access to the future, and He is eager to share it with us. If you want to know your future, you can find it in the pages of God’s Word. Because each and every one of us has a future, and the choice we make today will determine which future we get to experience.

Where do we get the idea that unity even matters to God? If God divided people in the Old Testament and then came as Jesus to divide people further, does He even want us to be unified? That’s what we’re going to be talking about this week on Always Peachy.

Where do we get the idea that unity even matters to God? If God divided people in the Old Testament and then came as Jesus to divide people further, does He even want us to be unified? That’s what we’re going to be talking about this week on Always Peachy.

People unite based on political affiliation, relig People unite based on political affiliation, religious background, language or region, or any other means of categorization. And, don’t get me wrong, none of those things are necessarily bad. A group of people working together to achieve something together is the technical definition of unity, but when does unity become something more dangerous? That's our topic on Always Peachy this week!

Reena Ellis has a big problem.

When she found a mysterious rock in her dad's office, she picked it up. She didn't expect it to hatch!

A cute, fluffy, pink red panda popped out of it and escaped into the city. So now Reena has to chase it down and catch it before her dad finds out.

But catching the pink red panda is just the beginning of the problem, because the cute little fluffy creature isn't actually a red panda. Sort of like Reena isn't just a fourteen-year-old girl.

The little red panda is the key to a secret Reena's dad has been hiding for her entire life.

My debut novel NAMELESS first hit the shelves 11 y My debut novel NAMELESS first hit the shelves 11 years ago, and now it's back again with an updated interior and a shiny new cover! And since I've got my direct storefront operating now, I can even do signed copies (link in bio)! I'll be releasing the next covers in the completed trilogy soon, so keep your eyes peeled, but until then, here's what this beauty is all about:

I love this time of year, but it does get crazy with all the social events and expectations. Just be sure you guys are all taking care of yourselves. Everyone will enjoy the holidays so much more when every person is well rested. #ZippyCat has the right idea. She just takes a nap whenever and wherever she feels like it.
