Tornadoes at home and black pudding here

I managed about six hours of sleep last night, and I woke up to lots of Facebook posts with videos of the tornado that passed dangerously close to Safe Haven Farm last night.

Of course. We have to wait until both The Padre and I are out of the country for the tornadoes to close in.

Fortunately, my mom and the house are fine. The storm mainly died out before it hit Reno County. So praise the Lord for that.

arkale_breakfastThe Padre enjoyed his big English breakfast this morning. Yes, that round black thing is blood pudding. Yes, he tried it. Yes, he hated it. But I’m proud of him for trying it. Now we just have to track down some haggis for him to try.

After his breakfast, he walked over to Katie’s house, and we walked to the city center and had coffee at a Starbucks. It was the only place open at that time in the morning.

Now we’re back in Katie’s kitchen, killing some time before Sarah Beck’s train gets in. We’ll be meeting her at the train station at Noon, grabbing lunch, and then heading out to the OMNIvision office.

Then, tonight, we get a treat! I’ll tell you about it later!
