Getting settled and late-night walks

The Padre and I made it safely to Manchester and then safely to Carlisle, and The Nomad met us at the station. We had a little hiccup getting The Padre installed in his bed and breakfast, but once we figured that out, it was great. It’s a really super looking little place. We’ll find out tomorrow morning how nice it is.

We ate some pizza with The Nomad and then got The Padre settled in his room, and then The Nomad and I had some catch-up time, which was lovely. But I hit a wall about 7:00 p.m. Like a serious wall. I couldn’t remember how to talk. But that was too early to go to bed.

So we went for a walk to get coffee. We wandered around Carlisle city center and found coffee and chatted until about 9:00 p.m. Then we walked back and watched the sun set behind Carlisle Castle.

Sorry I don’t have more about today. I’ll post more afterI try to get some sleep tonight. You folks at home in Kansas will be reading this in the afternoon, but it’s past 10:00 p.m. in England.

So good night, all! More stories tomorrow! And, what’s more, The Ginger arrives tomorrow too!
