Realm Makers update

Just a quick update! The Realm Makers conference has been awesome so far! So much fun! And such kind people!

Davis, this trip’s travel buddy, and I got into St. Louis around 11:00 pm last night and managed to get to bed around Midnight probably. Nice campus. Passable dorms.

We got up. Got around. Ate some food. And got into the sessions at 9am. We haven’t really moved since then, and it’s already almost 5:30 pm. It’s been a wonderful experience so far, with a very different feel of any other conference I’ve ever been to.

The number one difference has been the number of TV and movie references the presenters use when they’re talking. There’s been Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, Indiana Jones, Dr. Who, The Princess Bride, etc. etc. etc. And it’s awesome to know exactly what they’re talking about! =D

Tonight is the banquet where everybody’s dressing up. I don’t think either Davis or I are going to dress up, but I’ll take notes. It should be really fun.

Tomorrow is another full day of sessions, and I have an appointment with an editor at 9:30 am. So you folks who have been reading my AROL series all these years, say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed because I’m pitchintg it! Yay!

I have a lot to report and a lot to talk about, but I don’t have time right now. But suffice it to say that it’s been spectacular so far!
