Colorado Springs Road Trip

I’ve had the same accountant for years. He was my parents’ accountant first, and when I got old enough to need an accountant, he was my first choice. That was back when he officed in Wichita. So when he moved to Colorado Springs, we had a choice: Either find a new accountant or make an occasional trip up to Colorado Springs to see him when we have complicated tax questions.

That was a no-brainer.

So, yes, I drove eight hours and spent two nights in Colorado Springs just to have a one-hour meeting with my accountant, but you know what? I got my questions answered. And since the weather was so nice, we got to go up to Pike’s Peak. And any time I can spend at Glen Eyrie is a win in my book.

Glen Eyrie is one of my favorite places in the world. The Castle is stunning, and the property is beautiful.

Usually Pike's Peak summit isn't open in March, but the weather was so nice, we were able to go all the way to the top!
