I try my best to operate on a schedule, but sometimes life gets in the way. I like to try to post on this blog on Saturdays, usually the mornings. But let’s just say this past week didn’t turn out the way I expected it to.
This is a photograph of the St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs, CO, where I drove unexpectedly last Thursday because my mom had to have emergency surgery.
No. My mom and dad don’t live in Colorado Springs. They live at Safe Haven Farm with me. But they were on vacation.
Yes, vacation. To celebrate retirement.
It’s a long, ridiculous story, full of lots of adventure and general medical mischief. I’m sure one day it will appear in a story or on this blog. But suffice it to say, I didn’t get around to posting the blog for the day. And that kind of sucks because it was going to be a ton of fun, a post about my buddy Barney the Cat.
So, consider this a tease. Check back in next Saturday for a post that follows a day in the life of my feline sidekick. And keep your eyes open for a post in the future about my journey to Colorado Springs in a rented Nissan to rescue my parents from the depths of a foreign medical center.
