Blog Post Categories

Blog Post Categories

Because this is such a busy blog, I figured I’d better share a little bit about the categories I use when I share a blog post.

Always Peachy

I post under the Always Peachy category once a week on Mondays, usually before 8:00 a.m. This is a morning devotional based on my personal study of the Bible. I just use normal, everyday English to share what God is teaching me. This is the category that started me blogging, and while I still have some work to do to get all the posts organized, there are more than 900 Always Peachy posts on this blog (or there will be once I get them all tagged properly). So feel free to use the search bar for your favorite Bible verse. I’m willing to be there’s a post here about it.

Slice of Haven

Slice of Haven is my general category. Posted here are all the exploits of my life in the country, experiences in a 100-year-old house, my traveling adventures, and other general housekeeping themes. I post in this category at least once a month, usually Fridays or Wednesdays.

Geek Life

I’m a Geek, and I’m not ashamed. So this category is where I explore Geekdom as it relates to real life, whether through essays on being a Christian and a Geek at the same time or reviews of TV Shows, movies, and books. I post in this category at least once a month, usually Fridays.

The Word Business

I am also an entrepreneur. I run my own copywriting, editing, and speaking business, so this category is where I post all the things I’ve learned as a creative entrepreneur. The Word Business (which can be said The Word Business or The Word Business with equal significance) is where I share the ins and outs of being a self-employed writer/speaker. If you’re looking for posts about the publishing industry, check out my blog posts at Crosshair Press, where I am co-founder and part owner. I post in this category at least once a month, usually Fridays or Wednesdays.

Story World

I realized I needed a category strictly for talking about my novels, so that’s what Story World is about. This is the category where I’ll talk about my novels, my characters, and all the upcoming events and specials for my books. I post in this category at least once a month, usually Fridays or Wednesdays.

My Favorite Things

My Favorite Things

Finally, I have a category for my lists of top favorite things. I try to post in this category at least once a month, and it ranges from my favorite books to read on a cold day to my favorite coffeeshops in my local city. I post in this category at least once a month, usually Fridays or Wednesdays.

A.C. Williams

Amy Williams left a lucrative career in marketing to write novels about space cowboys, clumsy church secretaries, American samurai, and alternate dimensions. Along the way, she also discovered a passion for teaching other creative professionals how to use technology to make life easier. Through video instruction or one-on-one coaching, she teaches software, blogging, basic graphic design, and many other useful skills that help creative entrepreneurs get stuff done minus the frustration.
