Only the strong or the powerful survive in the stars.
The Morningstar Series, which includes The Destiny Trilogy, takes place 250 years in the future, where the world has become a very dark place. After the Third World War, humanity scattered throughout the solar system, terra-forming moons and building space colonies. While the Solar System Police try to uphold the law, they simply don’t have the manpower. Only the strong or the powerful survive in the stars.
But the biggest trouble doesn’t come from the wrecked landscapes after the most devastating war in human history. It isn’t that racism is the norm, prostitution is expected, and morality as we know it no longer exists. Rather, all of these troubles stem from a single event: the elimination of biblical Christianity from the world stage.
God seems farther away from Xander than He’s ever been.
All the Christians, or at least everyone with access to a Bible, has long since abandoned Earth for an exclusivist space colony far out in the solar system. There is no biblical influence on any aspect of civilization anywhere. That is, until Xander is discovered, the only survivor of a mysterious accident in space that left her entire crew dead and her without a memory, except for one thing: her faith.
Xander must learn to survive in a universe gone wrong where she can trust no one and where God seems farther away from Xander than He’s ever been. But she learns that she doesn’t have to remember her name to discover who she truly is.
