I’m Amy Williams, also known as A.C. Williams (author of space opera series The Destiny Trilogy and the hit romantic comedy Finding Fireflies), but some folks would also know me by my pen name, Kimberly McNeil (author of the epic young adult portal fantasy novel Meg Mitchell & The Secret of the Journal).
I’m a quirky, coffee-drinking, cat-loving thirty-something with a passion for great stories that break the industry mold, and Jesus has been my best friend since I was seven years old.
I’ve been writing stories about heroes since I was in kindergarten, starting with fanfiction about my favorite characters who faced incredible odds and triumphed. As I grew older, though, I began to realize that being a hero wasn’t about superpowers, and being brave didn’t always mean you’d win.
Being a hero isn’t about superpowers, and being brave doesn’t always mean you win.
Get out of the boat
Every one of us faces tough choices. If you haven’t yet, you will soon. Someday you’ll have to choose between doing what’s right and doing what’s easy, because they rarely coincide.
When that happens, you’re going to be afraid. In that moment, you can either give in and live your life in a way that won’t rock the boat, or you can be brave and get out of the boat so you can walk on the water with Jesus.
What does it mean to be FEARLESS?
Being fearless isn’t a superpower. It’s a lifestyle every Christ-follower can have. You just have to embrace the truth that Jesus has made us free to be fearless. Being fearless doesn’t mean you’re never afraid. It just means you don’t let your fear stop you from doing what God has told you to do.
Jesus has made us free to be fearless.
Join me on my journey of discovering what it means to live a fearless life. I’ll have wild adventures, outrageous stories, hilarious screw-ups, heartbreaking moments, and I won’t hold anything back. Because this is me.
Nice to meet you.
